What is a Pressure Regulating/Reducing Valve (PRV)?
Why do you need a Pressure Regulator Valve?
Homeowners and Residents,
We have set a schedule for your Pressure Regulator Valve replacement. The pressure regulator valves are either located at outside of your front door or at the bottom of the stairs or on your patios. The values need to be replaced on the scheduled dates, as comeback dates are costly. It is especially important that you comply with this schedule. We will only have a one-day comeback if there is a conflict with the date assigned for your address. Any other dates after the comeback date will result in a charge of $400.00 to the homeowner.
The water will be off for up to two (2) hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. depending on when the plumbers will be working at your building; the time may be less. You do not need to be home. Please unlock all gates (front entry and patio entry) to allow entry. The plumbers will need at least five (5) feet of clearance all-round (please see photo attached). The plumbers will not be responsible for any damage if they need to clear the work area. Please make sure all pets are safely inside and off the patio.
After the water is back on, you need to bleed the air out of the waterline. The best way to bleed the waterline is to turn on your bathtub or remove your shower head (debris could clog your shower head, if not removed). Let the water flow one to two minutes to clear any air and debris left in the lines.
